हिंदी पखवाड़ा

1 सितम्बर से 15 सितम्बर तक

भारत सरकार की राजभाषा नीति/नियमों के अनुसरण में राजभाषा हिन्दी के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए वर्ष भर कई समारोहों का आयोजन किया जाता है। प्रत्येक वर्ष 14 सितम्बर को 'हिन्दी दिवस' मनाया जाता है और 1 सितम्बर से 15 सितम्बर तक हिन्दी पखवाड़ा मनाया जाता है।इस दौरान प्रशासन के अधिकारियों तथा कर्मचारियों को राजभाषा हिन्दी में काम करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने हेतु हिन्दी में टिप्पण एवं आलेखन और कर्मचारियों के लिए टंकण प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित की जाती है। इसके साथ ही साथ विद्यार्थियों में भी राजभाषा हिन्दी के प्रति अभिरूची उत्पन्न करने और उन्हे प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए कई प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित की जाती है। अहिन्दी भाषा के माध्यम से शिक्षा ग्रहण करने वाले इन द्वीपों के विद्यार्थियों को भी सम्मिलित करने और उनके बीच राजभाषा हिन्दी की सरलता और सुबोधता की जानकारी देने और इस दिशा में उन्हें प्रेरित करने के लिए द्वीपों के तमिल, बंगला और तेलुगु माध्यम के विद्यालयों के विद्यार्थियों के लिए हिन्दी निबंध प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाता है।

—Conduct of various activities like- Book Review,  Story Telling , Quiz, Teacher’s speech and  Mass Reading  by students and teachers during assembly time

— Conduct of various type of activities and competitions like– Spell bee, Story & poem Writing, Quiz, Book Cover & Tag making, Newspaper clipping, Scrap book making &  making of library magazines in during library period

J.K. Rowling (born July 31, 1965, Yate, near Bristol, England) is a British author, creator of the popular and critically acclaimed Harry Potter series, about a young sorcerer in training.

The first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (1997; also published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), was released under the name J.K. Rowling. (Her publisher recommended a gender-neutral pen name; born Joanne Rowling, she used J.K., adding the middle name Kathleen.)The book received numerous awards, including the British Book Award. Succeeding volumes—Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2003), and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005)—also were best sellers, available in more than 200 countries and some 60 languages. The seventh and final novel in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was released in 2007.

 On October 2nd of every year, India celebrates Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. The birthday of Shastri, remembered as an outstanding statesman and leader, coincides with Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, in whose honour this day is also celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was famously known as Mahatma Gandhi. Father of the Nation, as he was called, led India's freedom movement along with many other national leaders against the British rule in India.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was deeply influenced by the political teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. “Hard work is equal to prayer,” he once said, in accents profoundly reminiscent of his Master. In the direct tradition of Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri represented the best in Indian culture.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti is celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's second Prime Minister. His contributions to India's independence, leadership during the Indo-Pak War, and promotion of the farming community through his slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" are celebrated on this day
