On October 2nd of every year, India celebrates Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. The birthday of Shastri, remembered as an outstanding statesman and leader, coincides with Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, in whose honour this day is also celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was famously known as Mahatma Gandhi. Father of the Nation, as he was called, led India's freedom movement along with many other national leaders against the British rule in India.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was deeply influenced by the political teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. “Hard work is equal to prayer,” he once said, in accents profoundly reminiscent of his Master. In the direct tradition of Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri represented the best in Indian culture.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti is celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's second Prime Minister. His contributions to India's independence, leadership during the Indo-Pak War, and promotion of the farming community through his slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" are celebrated on this day

हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2025

हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2025, जिसे 'राजभाषा पखवाड़ा' भी कहते हैं, 14 से 29 सितंबर 2025 तक आयोजित हुआ। इस दौरान हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार और उसके उपयोग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रम और प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की गईं, जैसे निबंध लेखन, प्रश्नोत्तरी, और कविता पाठ। इस वर्ष के पखवाड़े का एक अपेक्षित विषय "हिंदी: राष्ट्रीय एकता और वैश्विक पहचान की ताकत" था।

भारत में हर साल डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन की जयंती को उनके योगदान और उपलब्धियों को श्रद्धांजलि के रूप में राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। स्कूल से लेकर कॉलेजों तक छात्र-छात्राएं बड़े ही धूमधाम से उनकी जयंती मनाते हैं। इस दिन छात्र अपने शिक्षकों का सम्मान करते हैं।

5 सितंबर, 1888 को जन्मे डॉ. राधाकृष्णन ने न केवल भारत के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में कार्य किया बल्कि एक विद्वान, दार्शनिक और भारत रत्न से सम्मानित भी थे।

अपनी तमाम उपलब्धियों और योगदानों के बावजूद राधाकृष्णन जीवन भर शिक्षक रहे। शिक्षक दिवस भारत के पहले उपराष्ट्रपति की स्मृति का सम्मान करने और हमारे जीवन में शिक्षकों के महत्व को मनाने के लिए मनाया जाता है।

उन्होंने कई क्षमताओं में अपने देश की सेवा की है। लेकिन सबसे बढ़कर, वह एक महान शिक्षक हैं जिनसे हम सभी ने बहुत कुछ सीखा है और आगे भी सीखते रहेंगे। हमारे राष्ट्रपति के रूप में एक महान दार्शनिक, एक महान शिक्षाविद् और एक महान मानवतावादी का होना भारत का विशिष्ट विशेषाधिकार है।

उन्होंने चेन्नई के प्रेसीडेंसी कॉलेज और कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय में पढ़ाया। 1954 में उन्हें भारत में सर्वोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार 'भारत रत्न' से सम्मानित किया गया। वे 1963 में ब्रिटिश रॉयल ऑर्डर ऑफ मेरिट के मानद सदस्य के रूप में भर्ती हुए। डॉ. राधाकृष्णन अपने जीवनकाल के दौरान एक मेधावी छात्र, छात्रों के बीच एक प्रसिद्ध शिक्षक थे। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जब वे 1962 में भारत के दूसरे राष्ट्रपति के रूप में सेवा कर रहे थे, तब उनके छात्रों ने उनके जन्मदिन 5 सितंबर को एक विशेष दिन के रूप में मनाने की अनुमति लेने के लिए उनसे संपर्क किया। इसके बजाय डॉ. राधाकृष्णन ने समाज में शिक्षकों के योगदान को पहचानने के लिए 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में मनाने का अनुरोध किया।

Munshi Premchand Jayanti (31.07.2024) – A Look at the Legacy of a Great Hindi Literary Figure.

Introduction

Munshi Premchand was born on 31st July 1880 in Lamhi, Varanasi in a poor family. His mother name was Anandi devi and father’s name was Munshi Aazayab Rai. His father was post master in the village of Lamahi, Varanasi. Premchand’s childhood education was started in the village only. He studied in the Parshi language there. His parents were died when premchand was very young. He got married in the age of fifteen.
